Therapeutic Diving Course in Eilat — Recovery After Army, Miluim, and Anxiety

Therapeutic Diving Course in Eilat

Modern life in Israel is filled with constant stress — military service, miluim (reserve duty), work, and personal challenges often leave people exhausted and anxious. More and more individuals are searching for ways to recover and strengthen their psychological resilience. One of the most effective tools is therapeutic diving.

At AHLA Dive Center in Eilat, we offer a unique program that combines recreational diving with methods of psychological recovery. The course includes 12 sessions totaling around 50 hours, where theory and practical diving in the Red Sea are combined with exercises aimed at developing emotional stability, self-confidence, and coping skills.

What the course includes:
• Theoretical lessons: basics of diving, breathing techniques, physiology, natural laws underwater, dive planning, safety, and learning about the Red Sea marine ecosystem.
• Practical skills: movement and balance in the water, mask clearing, equipment handling, underwater communication, solving common problems, dives up to 18 meters, self-rescue, and assisting a buddy.
• Psychological tools: emotional regulation, building self-confidence, managing anxiety, improving flexibility and adaptability, and developing self-help strategies.

Why diving works as therapy?

Underwater, people enter a completely new environment, where common fears and anxieties manifest differently. Diving teaches how to control breathing, stay calm, and make decisions in unusual situations. Each dive helps participants discover their inner strengths, while the support of instructors and group members creates a safe and empowering environment.

Who is this course for?
• Those who have finished their military service and want to restore balance and confidence.
• Miluim (reserve duty) participants who need stress relief.
• People dealing with anxiety, post-traumatic stress, or personal crises.
• Anyone who wants to build resilience, find new energy, and explore the fascinating underwater world of the Red Sea.

Results:

By the end of the course, participants achieve a new level of confidence, psychological resilience, and vitality. Diving becomes not just a form of therapy but also a meaningful hobby, opening doors to new experiences, friendships, and inner harmony.
